The
Portuguese Society for Electron Microscopy (SPME) was founded in 1966, in
General Assembly, by the Portuguese Society for Natural Sciences. In 1990
the name of the SPME was changed to Portuguese Society for Electron
Microscopy and Celular Biology (SPME-BC). From the end of 2005, the Society
is entitle Portuguese Society for Microscopy (SPMicros).
Since its foundation this Society has organized an annual scientific meeting,
in which its members present their investigation. In these meetings,
recognised national and international experts have been invited for plenary
lectures. This year the Directive Board of SPMicros will organize the XLII
Cientific Meeting (INCOMAM’07) that will be held in 6-7th December 2007 in
Coimbra (Hotel D. Luis), Portugal. INCOMAM’07 will have oral and poster
presentations which will give delegates the opportunity to discuss their
research with colleagues. Plenary lectures will be present by eminent
researchers in microscopy on three topics of major international
significance in microscopy (Biological and Medical Science, Materials
Science and Nanotechnology and Instrumentation and Techniques) and will be
targeted at a multi-disciplinary audience.
We look forward of seeing you in Coimbra. |
